Acer Iconia Smart 4.8-inch smartphone

Acer is scheduled ship its 4.8-inch smartphone in Europe around mid-September 2011, the Iconia Smart. The handset was unveiled by Acer in February at MWC 2011.

The Acer Iconia Smart phone packs a 4.8-inch (21:9 aspect ratio) LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 480 pixels, a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, a front-facing 2 megapixel camera.

Upcoming Acer Iconia Smart phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.

Other feature on Iconia Smart phone is an accelerometer, a gyroscope, Bluetooth 2.1, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA support, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and DLNA capabilities.

Acer W4 smartphone with Windows Phone Mango

The computer maker, Acer has showcased its first Windows Phone device at Computex 2011, the Acer W4. This smartphone is running on the latest Windows Phone 7 Mango (7.1) OS.

Acer W4 smartphone is boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 SoC along with Adreno 205 graphics, 8GB of onboard storage, and support for quad-band GSM and HSPA networks.

The Acer W4 has brings a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixel, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, DLNA, and Bluetooth 2.1.

Previously, HTC will be released its 12MP smartphone with Windows Phone Mango platform.

Acer Liquid Mini smartphone in India

Acer will soon launch its smartphone in India, the Acer Liquid Mini. The handset was revealed at CES 2011 and will be available in Indian market for priced at 11,990 INR (about $270).

The Acer Liquid Mini smartphone will comes in three color options – jet silver, piano black, and royal blue.

Features on Acer Liquid Mini including a 3.2-inch multi-touch display, a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot (a 2GB card included), 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, microUSB port, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, and FM Radio.

The Acer Liquid Mini smartphone runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS with Acer UI, Acer SocialJogger social networking application, and a 1300 mAh battery that enabling up to 8 hours of talktime.
