Sony Ericsson XPERIA active rugged smartphone, unlocked in the US
Another Xperia smartphone has just launched in the United States, after released in the UK last month. Newegg.com is selling the Sony Ericsson XPERIA active smartphone for $339.99 unlocked. This Sony Ericsson phone is a rugged Android smartphone that introduced back in June 2011 at CommunicAsia Singapore.
Beside scratch-resistant display, Sony Ericsson XPERIA active has a 3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 320 resolutions. Inside specs, Xperia Active brings a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, 1GB of built-in memory (320MB user available), 512MB RAM, and a microSD card (up to 32GB). Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, Sony Ericsson Xperia Active packs a rear 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, GPS, Wi-Fi, barometer, compass, wrist strap, heart rate and pulse monitoring apps. Both dust-proof and water resistant, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA active is also nice compact phone that measures 3.6 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches and weighs 3.9 oz.
