Motorola Defy (Jordan) Android Smartphone
Motorola added its second rugged Android smartphone namely the Motorola Defy. The handset is previously known under the code name of Motorola Jordan.
The Motorola Defy is enclosed in housing made of rubber and plastic with the IP67 durability spec, which is dust-proof and resist being submersed in up to a meter of water for up to 30 minutes. New Moto Defy can packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (FWVGA) and covered by Corning Gorilla Glass, which is protects against impact and scratch damage.
Specs of Motorola Defy are a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is noted that the Motorola Defy smartphone can act as a wireless access point for up to five WiFi-enabled devices. In addition, Motorola Defy is supports DLNA (DIGITAL LIVING NETWORK ALLIANCE) that allows share content wirelessly with other DLNA equipped devices.
Motorola Defy rugged smartphone is boasts an 800MHz TI OMAP 3610 processor and running on Android 2.1 OS with MOTOBLUR user interface that support Google service and Swype-keyboard.
Motorola Defy is designed for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA networks. Size of Moto Defy is 59 x 107 x 13.4 mm with weight 118 grams. Motorola Defy will be available in Q4 2010.
